This is the mantra of Anthony "Turtle" Nembhard. The epitome of dedication and perseverance, Nembhard is a multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, key-bass). Anthony began to play the bass in the eight grade and by tenth grade he was playing professionally. He began his formal training at Boston Arts Academy, where he was awarded most outstanding musician in two consecutive years. Along with his studies at the Boston Arts Academy, he studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, who later awarded him a full scholarship.
Anthony matriculated to Berklee so after and became one of Berklee's most valuable players, playing major shows such as Singer's Showcase and Commencement concerts. Anthony has a wide technical facility and an internal groove that is unmatched. His attention to musical detail has landed him performances with Aerosmith, Chaka Khan, Sean Kingston, Martha Munizzi, Kurt Carr, Brian Hurst, Javon Jackson, Donald Harrison, Hugh Masekela, Kierra Sheard, J Moss and many others. Currently touring with grammy-award winning Sony artist Tye Tribbett. Anthony is not confined to the role of "musician", he is spreading his talents to arranging and production. His knowledge transcends genres and musical boundaries. This is the path of Anthony "Turtle" Nembhard, inviting you to join him in the beginning or see him crossing the finish line.
