I approached music at the age of six by learning to play classic guitar. I first experienced the bass at the age of ten and I never stopped playing it since then! I stayed in my home town until 1994 where I started playing double bass and performing in many different bands: transcribing musical passages on a great deal of famous songs was my real passion…
In 1995 I moved to Rome and attended the Saint Louis Music Academy from 1996 to 1998. I eventually took my diploma thanks to the teaching of Massimo Moriconi, Luca Pirozzi, Marco Siniscalco and Gianfranco Gullotto.
In the meanwhile, I attended conservatory, first in Perugia then in Latina with music-master Carlo Pelliccione.
Over the last years, I managed to play in pubs with many bands performing a variety of music styles (rock, funk, jazz, pop, latin, etc…).
In 1997 and 1998 I played in music-master Roberto Pregadio’s orchestra touring Italy with him. I took part in the summer TV broadcast named UNO MATTINA and toured Norway with Nina Pedersen, a well-known jazz singer.
In 1999 I started my didactic activity by teaching in other music schools in Rome; at the same time, I took up recording sessions on various albums by Lara Martelli, R.D.F, Enrico Montesano, the movie soundtrack “The Protagonist” with Andrea Guerra, and began collaborations with pop artists, doing TV promo shots with Loredana Berté. From that time on, I undertook an intensive studio and live activity with various musicians such as Michele Zarrillo, Nek, Patty Pravo, Simone Cristicchi, Paola Turci, Povia, Loredana Berte’, Mauro Di Maggio, Valeria Rossi, Annalisa Minetti, Shell Shapiro, Sandro Giacobbe, Carlotta, Straga’, Manuela Villa, mp2, Gatto Panceri, Fabio Concato, Antonella Ruggero, Mikela, Roberto Giglio, Marco Fabi, Pier Cortese, Federico Salvatore, Simona Bencini, Lola Ponce and Giò di Tonno, ecc... However, meeting with Max Varini and Valter Sacripanti was very important to me as it gave birth to an instrumental trio who issued an album, performed a countless number of gigs and held seminars throughout Italy...
