Born and raised in Sweden, Andreas Olsson began studying cello at age 7, and has continued his interest in classical music to this day. At 11, he bought his uncle's electric guitar, teaching himself by playing along to records by his favorite band, Europe. He soon joined his first band, comprised of friends from school. Eventually, Andreas switched to bass because of his affinity for the cello and the lower registers. Over the next decade, he played everything from classical music (on double bass) to Heavy Metal, including Jazz, Latin, Pop and Country.

Andreas moved to Stockholm to continue his studies and further his career. In the spring of 1999 he joined the neoclassical Metal band Stormwind and continues to record and perform with them. Later that same year, he joined Christian Rivel's solo project Wisdom Call. Olsson was soon invited to join Christian's main band Narnia, one of the biggest Metal bands on the continent. He's also worked with Rob Rock, Divine Fire, E-type, Essence of Sorrow and many more of Europe's hottest acts.

While his main projects are Metal, Andreas continues to play in several other projects, doing "[e]verything from metal to smooth jazz and schlagers," says Olsson. "I believe that to become a better musician, you always have to explore new styles and territories. You will always learn something."

Andreas uses a wide array of Eden gear, depending on his needs for a particular tour or gig, including WT800B and WT550 amps powering D410XLT, D210XST and D112XLT cabinets. "On my quest for tone," he says, "I've found my Holy Grail!"
