Passing the Torch to the Next Generation
To say that Craig Murray is busy is a serious understatement. In addition to playing bass for Crash the Machine, Carig also teaches music at Rio Linda High School in Northern California, passing his extensive knowledge to a new generation of musicians. In addition, he is a student himself, finishing his Masters of Music in Composition at California State University Sacramento. Craig earned a B.S. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Music from the Union Institute & University, an M.A. in Film Scoring from California State University Chico, and he is credentialed to teach music in the state of California.
Craig is a multi-instrumentalist with more than 15 years experience with the bass guitar. In addition to the bass, Craig is versatile on the trumpet, trombone, keyboards, and vocal improv. He's a skilled and accomplished composer, conductor, vocal jazz arranger, and musical director. He is a member of Crash The Machine, a modern-rock band based in Sacramento, CA. A self-admitted tone freak, Craig uses the WP100 Navigator, WT1000 amplifier, D210XST cabinet, and the Metro. "Since I started playing bass," he says, "I've been looking for a unique sound; a sound that reaches my soul and sets me apart. I've played on many different systems, from cheap through expensive, but none of them had the sound I wanted. With Eden I found it. Whether I'm in the studio, at a small venue, a large venue, or anywhere in between, Eden gets the job done. I don't trust anyone else with my sound." |
