Swamp Green Bass

Dr. Dave Burns started playing guitar when he was 9 years old. Then, at 12, a cousin asked him to play bass in his band. As soon as he picked it up, he knew from that day on he would be a bass player.

Dave's career has taken him all across the U.S., Europe and the Far East. His solid, driving grooves have led him to work with a wide range of artists, such as Jody Payne (Willie Nelson Family), Earl Thomas Conley, Charlie and The Moonshiners (from Scotland), John Prestia, Big Al and the Heavyweights, both in the studio and live shows.

A colorful entertainer, Burns never seems to stop moving the whole time he's on stage. He has been featured on Dan Ackroyd's HOB radio show 5 times and appeared on the Emeril Live Show 3 times. In 2002, Dr. Dave was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame as part of a group he played with in the 60's and early 70's. Dr. Dave has spent the last 6 yrs touring nationwide (over 250 dates a yr) with some of the top blues acts in the country. He has played many festivals and concerts during this time as well as headlined some of the top clubs in the nation. From small clubs in Maine and Iowa to NYC or the HOB in Chicago, from Key West to Los Angeles, he's seen it all.

Dr. Dave is currently working with Malaco/Waldoxy recording artists The Beat Daddys. They are one of the longest surviving Rock & Blues bands still touring the nation fulltime. They also have a strong fan base in Europe and Asia.. The Beat Daddys are currently working on a new CD (#5) and gearing up for a world tour to promote it.

An Eden endorser for almost a decade, Dr. Dave uses our WT800 powering a D410XLT cabinet. He says he's tried just about every bass rig on the planet, but nothing compares to his Eden rig. "My Eden gives me the flexibility to take care of any sound problems I may have to adjust to," he says. "It's on the road 250 plus dates a year and it's always been dependable. It really is a World Tour Amp!"
