Dougie Keebler, now a member of 'beggars fortune', is a bass player who offers his talent both on a national and international level. He started playing music at a young age and plunged into his professional music career in 1999. With years of musical training, Dougie found himself playing amongst many Grammy-nominated, Dove-winning, and other professional artists.
Dougie mixes many different elements within his bass playing including the influence of his other instruments: guitar, accordian, melodica, piano, and some other interesting sounds. With this combination, he provides texture and melodies that give the listeners a groove to sing to. Dougie studied at Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (music), with a concentration in 'Music Industry.' Dougie has been noted many times on his classical and modern arrangements.
In 2001, Dougie became a member of 'beggars fortune'. The group travels throughout the United States and Europe. Not only will you see 'beggars fortune' in musical venues, rock clubs, holiday resorts, and festivals, you will also see them in classrooms all over Europe teaching English, culutral, and music lessons.
In the summer of 2006, 'beggars fortune' released their second European distributed album, 'Get In the Car and Drive.' Their music is now distributed on four continents and quickly turning heads. After six years of learning the road, each other, and other people, the band has an impressive way of relating to people that shines through their music and into the listener's heart.
Dougie uses our WT800 to power one or two D410XLTs. Of his choice to use Eden, he says, "Eden, to me, Dougie, is "The Professional". Their gear alone sets you apart from the other bassist." |
