Malcolm Hall

Malcolm Hall

WT400 / D410XLT

Long before immigrating to the U.S. in 2002, Malcolm started his musical journey in life at age five by playing the steel drum in his small Caribbean island country. His first gig was a Christmas school concert where he played "London Bridge" and received a standing ovation. He also learned the Brazilian four string Quatro guitar at a young age, and would get in trouble by humming bass lines in church instead of singing (like he was supposed to be doing).

He had grown so accomplished as a guitarist that at age 12 he performed at his church's local crusades and open-air concerts. His life then was church, guitar, eat, sleep and repeat. Before leaving Guyana, Malcolm had risen to the highest paid bassist in the country. He earned four times what he was making as a mechanical engineer. "I always feel when I'm performing that I'm on vacationing he says.

"I used to feel guilty when being paid to play... most of the time the gig was so nice, I'd have done it for almost free!" Malcolm's life now as a performer includes playing in secular bands, yet he still maintains a high level of spirituality and reverence for God wherever he's playing. He has played solo and with various bands that have toured South America, the Caribbean, Canada and the U.S., where he opened for Gregory Isaacs, played The Kennedy Center, and performed at opening day of the Washington Nationals baseball team. Currently working on recording an album, Malcolm's Youtube demo videos are garnering thousands of viewers.

His sound is a pure and heart-felt mix of warm and brilliant bass playing in a charming and uplifting style, and he is always first to give credit for his skills where it belongs."God blessed me with an unusual passion for playing bass, and I'd like to share it. It might touch your heart in a special way. Twelve notes (and God's grace) can make you happy for a lifetime."

"I've counted myself very blessed to be among the numbers of musicians who can actually afford what ever rig they desire regardless of price. But after owning and using most other rigs on the market for years, I have concluded that EDEN amps and cabinets make my heart joyful, because the tone is clearly the best. My Eden rig causes my basses to spit fire like a dragon and cuts through the mix like a chainsaw cutting through a wedding cake; even at low volume I will be heard. I love EDEN and I'm LOCKED into that tone!"
