Low End for a Higher Prupose
Nakia Green began playing Music when he was 9 years old. He started on the drums and then changed to the bass guitar at age 12, after hearing the likes of Andrew Gouche, Joel Smith, and Sam Scott Jr., and has never looked back. When he picked up his first bass, he couldn't put it down. Nakia is a self-taught musician who got his start in the church. While his experiences have been varied, he has focused mainly in the area of Gospel as well as Old-school Funk and R&B.
Some of Nakia's greatest influences on the bass are James Jamerson, Anthony Jackson, Marcus Miller and Pino Palladino. He credits Anthony Jackson as being one of the most Influential masters of the instrument. Most important, however, are all the musicians he has played with over the years who have help to develop his groove, technique and musicianship.
Nakia has accompanied artist such as Peter's Rock Mass Choir, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, K.O.G.I.C, and Anointed Vessels to name a few. He's played on many projects both gospel and secular. He has also made television appearances on BET Bobby Jones Gospel with Peter's Rock Mass Choir.
"Music is a gift from God and it is through this gift that I can reach the world."
Nakia uses our WT800 powering D210XST and D410XST cabinets. He chose Eden because he's "tried about ever high end bass rig built and nothing comes close to my Eden rig," he says. "The tone is amazing with unbelievable headroom. With extensive touring and sessions I need a rig that is dependable and with Eden I have found it to be unsurpassed." |
