Revving It Up Down Low

Hailing from the musical wasteland known as Oklahoma, Rev Jones is one of the most sought after bassists in music. A bassist since 1985, Rev has been recording and touring nonstop since 1986.

From 1989 through 1995, Rev was a member of Fort'e, who released one E.P. "Dementia by Design" and two full-length CD's "Stranger than Fiction" & "Division," all on the Massacre label. In 1997 Rev joined Black Symphony, touring from 1998 to 2003 and releasing 2 full length CD's "Black Symphony" & "Tears of Blood", both of which received world wide acclaim. In 2002 Rev was hired by Michael Schenker to play on his new album "Be Aware of Scorpion" and to be part of his touring band. In late 2002, after recording their third Black Symphony album, Rev, Rick Plester, and Pete Holmes decided to fold the band and start over. The result is a brand new band and a great new album that they'll be introducing to the world in summer of 2005. The third and final Black Symphony album was never released, but will be released in late 2005 under the title "The Last Symphony".

In 2004, in between Michael Schenker Group tours and recording an album with his new band, Rev was hired to play bass with Fuel for a tour while their bass player had a baby, which introduced Rev to a whole new audience and thousands of new fans. He has also worked with Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big) and Jeff Martin (Racer X, Badlands) to name just a few.

Rev relies on our WT800 with D610XLT and D410XLT cabinets to bring his sound to life. Of his rig he says, "it's by far the best I've heard. I sat down and tried to make it sound bad, but I just couldn't get anything bad to come out."

In the summer of 2005, Rev will be on tour in Europe and the US with the Michael Schenker Group in support a new live DVD and the new MSG album.
