Rob Dexter's aggressive bass playing and passion for music has fueled an impressive career as a modern rock bassist. Originally from Long Island, New York, Rob Dexter began his career at 18 playing bass with the metal band BATTLE BRATT. The band released a CD and headed to Europe for a promotional tour. Today, the CD has resurfaced and is considered a collector's item among metal enthusiasts.
Rob's next big break came when guitarist Jeff Young of Megadeth called Rob for his solo project in Los Angeles. He also worked with Illusionist/singer Criss Angel (MindFreak A & E) on his elaborate live show and studio work for 3 years. In 2000, Rob moved to Orlando, Florida with his band KABANG and worked as Disney performers for 6 years. The band also released 2 CD's with Grammy winning producer/engineer Jason Corsaro (Soundgarden, Madonna, Power Station) in New York City. In 2006, Rob met singer Robby Red and joined the pop alternative band The Redfelts.
Rob recently went into the studio with producer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker) and engineer Scott Spelbring to record 3 new tracks with The Redfelts. As always, he recorded with the World Tour 800 and a pair of D410XLT cabinets. "I was first introduced to David Eden while playing for Disney," says Rob. "I was blown away by the power and warmth of the amp and the overall clarity of the tone. Whether I'm playing metal or pop rock, I have yet to play an amp that measures up to Eden." |
