Eden web columnist Steve Cook does a Photo Op
shot with the handsome and talented
John Vitale,
our Arist Relations Director.
Steve's a total Edenite and a
very cool guy with a unique insight into building a music career. If you're
not already reading his monthly column, you should be.

Steve, John, David and Lane discuss future
web projects.

Grasshopper
and David talk about the new products.

One of several Edenites (forum members) to drop
by the booth was LowFreq - AKA
Michael Kulick.
"It was very cool to meet him after getting to know
him so
well through the forum," Lane said.

These two win the Shameless Self-Promotion prize,
hands down. They managed to
snag a couple of Visitor
badges and get past security with two pairs of stilts.
This was probably due
to the fact that, other than the
stilts, they weren't too much different from
many
attendees. Anyhoo....once inside, they mounted their
stilts and began
to attract attention - and a ton of
amateur photographers. They strode through
the
show handing out postcard-sized ads for a performance
by their band, Powder.
Only in LA, folks....only in LA.

Group Op with Uriah and John Hatten of the
Brian Setzer Orchestra. John's a brand-new
endorser
with an amazing slap upright style that's got to be
seen to be believed.

Uriah liked what he heard - a lot. Lane smiles as he
watches Uriah fall
under the 12's spell.
"Muah-ha-ha-ha....another one bites the dust!"

David, USM owner Rudy Schalcher, Uriah and Lane.

Uriah, lost in the groove.

Lane takes time for a photo with Tony Alvarez -
known to Edenites the world over
as Planetary Citizen.
It appears that, for this week, at least, Tony's
feet
are planted firmly on the ground. (You'd have
to have seen his Edenite Rig
Pic to get this.
Otherwise, "Move along.
These aren't the droids we're looking
for...)

Things got pretty intense as Bill and Rev warmed
up and really got into things.

Seth Horan does everything from clinics, to solo
performances, to duo and trio
gigs. What makes
him so unique is that he actually writes songs with
lyrics
- you know, verse / chorus / verse / chorus...
that kind of thing...but the
music is totally
centered around his bass. Lane and Seth have
been playing
phone and email tag for months...but
it looks as if they'll finally be able
to get serious
about finding the Eden rig that's Seth's "Thunder Rig".

Snow Owl, Lane and Rev discuss ideas for the web
site. No promises, but some
of the things on the
table are Edenite concert reviews, Tour diaries
and more...

Jauqo 3X is a huge Bill Clements supporter as well
as a phenomenal bassist and
producer. He's
currently working with Bill on a duet for Bill's next CD.

We haven't shown him yet, because he's not a
bassist - much less an Edentie.
But here's a shot
of Dave Martone, who performed several times
each day,
promoting Randall and Parker. Shown
here with Steve and John, Dave made the
show a lot
of fun. "Not only is he a great guitarist, with an
amazing sense
of character and humor to his work,"
Lane said, "he's just a such a wonderful
person -
a lot of fun to hang out with."

US Music COO Garry Gryzcan takes a minute for a
photo op of Grasshopper (from
Bass Central)
and David.

John does the pose with Rev Jones. Rev's Black
Symphony is set to release a two-disc
CD soon.

Michael Weggener, a legendary producer and
Randall endorser, dropped by to autograph
pictures
for an hour. Shown here with two members of his
group and John Vitale,
Mr. W. is currently evaluating
Eden rigs to determine the best one for his
studio.

Endorser Uriah Duffy (Whitesnake, Family Stone
Experience, and many others) does
the Group Photo
Op with David, John, and U Dawg's sweetheart, Angeline.

Uriah jacks in to the WT1205 to take a test drive,
while Lane discusses features
with Angeline who,
by the way, is also an excellent bassist. And, yes,
she
uses Eden gear.

Lane looks on as Uriah demonstrates his
two-handed approach, which adds high-end,
chordal double stops over a left-hand-tapped
funk
groove. "It was a total Master
Class," Lane said, "all
in about five minutes. That short stint is going to
put
me back into the wood shed for hundreds of hours."

Uriah was kind enough to do a short performance.
You can see that he drew a crowd
in a very short time.

Uriah's young friend, Joshua, happened by as
Uriah was playing. Talk about cool
- Uriah got Josh
up for a duet to showcase the young prodigy.
John Vitale heard
him and has requested a promo
kit. Just so you know...

Endorsers Bill Clements and Rev Jones wouldn't let
the
forced shut-down of the
stage stop them
from jamming. They went to the back of the Eden
area and plugged
into a pair of Nemesis rigs and
headed off into unknown territory.

You can see that, even hidden in back, Bill and
Rev drew a crowd.

Endorses Rev Jones and Snow Owl do the Photo Op
thing with Lane.

It was busier than all get-out when he stopped in,
but David still took a moment
to get a photo with
Edenite Jeremy Hull.

On the way out - and running late for the Bass Player
bash, Lane
had to stop for a shot with the inimitable
Oz Barron who, in addition
to being a great bassist,
does web design for Spector Basses, among
others.
Promises have been made to hook up Sunday.
