Lane on Bass Clinic - Thursday, October 25, 2007 Join endorser Lane Baldwin (AKA Lane on Bass), Special Projects & Artist Relations for Eden Electronics, for an evening of music and fun as he presents on overview of the Eden line, fields questions on gear, touring, and technique, offers a short solo performance and more. As always, Lane will have a full bag of goodies to give away. Lane is the bassist, vocalist and leader of Deeper Blues, an all-original Blues trio. Their new CD, Dig the Hole, is scheduled for December release, and features a dozen cuts of the raw, emotionally charged Blues (everything from porch "shout-outs" to Power Blues), that legend Johnny B. Gayden calls "the best new Blues out there." Dave Hufstedler, Bass department manager for Alpha Music (VA Beach, VA) said of Lane's presentation, "Lane was awesome! Everyone was spell-bound with his performance ... our best [Bass Club] meeting so far. ... a total inspiration and very educational." |

8/29/07 - Eden Debuts YouTube Channel Let's face it. The best way to get videos in front of the widest audience possible is to broadcast on YouTube. So, this week, Eden debuts its new YouTube channel. We've already loaded up a few videos and will be adding more as quickly as possible. Now, all the videos you see on our web site will stream from YouTube and will also be available to the entire YouTube network. "This is going to open up a new world for us," says US Music Marketing Director Jody Dankberg. "Moving forward, videos will a be a significant part of our promotional and training efforts. Broadcasting on YouTube allows us to reach a much wider audience, reaching millions of potential new Edenites." About Johnny B. Gayden:
Johnny B. Gayden has established a very impressive resumé during his 38 years as a bass player. Among his credits are 15 years with Albert Collins and the Ice Breakers, as well as stints with Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Carey Bell, James Cotton and many, many more. He is credited with over 75 albums, numerous award-winning recordings including a Grammy for the 1985 "Showdown" with Albert Collins, Johnny Copeland and Robert Cray. If you're in the UK, here's an event you don't want to miss. Eden is proud to sponsor Bass Day UK, an all-day, all-bass event featuring an impressive list of UK and European bassists, including Steve Lawson, Trip Wamsley, Janek Gwizdala, Michael Manring, Jan-Olof Strandberg and more.
Created for bassists by bassists, the event will be held at the Life Café in Manchester, England on November 20, 2005. It will feature more than ten hours of performances, master classes and Q&A sessions. Most of the performers will have CDs available for purchase and signing.
In addition to being a great opportunity to meet some of the movers and shakers in the field, it's also a great chance to get to know fellow bassists in the UK and do some networking.
