DC112XLT: Small Combo, Big Sound
What happens when you combine our Time Traveler amplifier with a D112XLT cabinet? You get what some have called the Baby Metro - The DC112XLT - a small combo with a big, full Eden sound.

DC112XLT

The standard DC112XLT is powered by our WT330 Time Traveler amplifier. For those desiring a touch more oomph - to drive larger extension cabinets, perhaps - it can be ordered with the WT390 amp head.

The amplifier section is simple and elegant, yet filled with features to help you get the best tone you've ever had. The 112XLT cabinet is one of the most aggressive single 12s on the market, with tons of tonal authority. The previous two reports in this section covered the Time Traveler amplifiers and the D112XLT cabinet. If you haven't read those reports, take a minute to do so now. Go ahead . . . we'll wait.

OK…now that you've read the reports, you know all about the features of both the amplifier and the cabinet portions of the DC112XLT. You also know what other Edenites think of this powerful combo. If you want to know even more, read this review from Bass Player Magazine.

One thing you may not know is that the DC112XLT features a collapsible kick-back foot. Tilt the amp back a bit and you can pull this foot down to angle the cabinet towards your ears. This can be a big help on small stages in that it will help you hear yourself better without overpowering the rest of the band.

At the summer NAMM show in Indianapolis, we demoed the DC112XLT with a D112XLT extension cabinet, billing it as the Mini-Stack. Everyone who played through it was extremely impressed with the tone, which was described as "pure Eden," and the power. Several players commented that, for many of their gigs, it could easily replace their larger stage rigs, making it easier to load in and load out. One player said it was "absolutely scary . . . but in a very good way."

The Baby Metro is an excellent rig for those needing something compact and scalable. Use it by itself for rehearsals and small- to medium-sized gigs. Add one D112XLT extension cabinet for performances in larger halls. Add a second extension cabinet for bigger stages when you need more volume. A third extension will give you a tower of four twelves and tweeters that will keep up with multiple guitar stacks while maintaining a small footprint on stage. (By the way, if you plan on adding more than one extension cabinet, we highly recommend that you order the optional WT390 head.)

Drop by your local dealer and check out the DC112XLT soon. We're confident you'll agree that this is one gusty, aggressive - and great sounding - combo.
