EDEN ANNOUNCES FIRST SHIPMENT OF NEW WT1205 Chicago, Illinois, October 20, 2005 - Eden Electronics, the leader in bass amplification, announced that it is now shipping its long-awaited WT1205 integrated amplifier. The WT1205 is a two channel amplifier with full control sets for each channel. This allows the user to use two basses (or a stereo instrument) and create two completely different tones for each instrument. The user can also use a single bass and switch between two tone configurations. Eden founder and head of Research and Development David Nordschow was extremely pleased with his design team's execution of the WT1205. "This is the most complex design we've ever produced," he said, "with several completely new features. It took longer than initially expected to complete the design and engineering process, but the end result is more than worth the effort. I'm confident the WT1205 will take its place along side our legendary WT800 as a standard by which all other amps will be measured." Each channel includes a 7025 tube in the front end for maximum warmth and features variable compression as well as Eden's unique Enhance Control, a sophisticated tone shaping circuit that allows quick and easy tone shaping. The included footswitch allows the user to switch channels on the fly, as well as engage Mute to Tune, Enhance Bypass and Turbo Boost (+6dB) functions. Power is delivered by a pair of intergrated power amplifiers utilizing Eden's proprietary toroid transformer to deliver 325 Watts @ 8 Ohms, 500 Watts @ 4 Ohms, and 600 Watts @ 2 Ohms (RMS per channel with both channels driven). In Mono Bridge mode, the WT1205 produces 1000 Watts RMS @ 8 Ohms and a massive 1200 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms. All modes of operation feature +3dB in headroom. At peak power, the amplifier will deliver a ground-shaking 2400 Watts in Mono Bridge mode (@ 4 Ohms). Other features include:
Although Eden manufactures several speaker systems that will match well with the WT1205, one of the best matches for a powerful yet compact rig is the company's new D610XLT. Rated at 1050Watts RMS into 6 Ohms, the cabinet is a near-perfect match, receiving 1100 Watts RMS from the WT1205 in Bridge Mode. Other suggested systems include a pair of Eden's top-selling D410XLT cabinets or a pair of D210XST systems. The WT1205 will also be the first product from the company to feature its new back-lit logo and updated graphics design. "We've been working on a cosmetic redesign for some time," Nordschow said, "and the WT1205 is the perfect product to introduce the new look to the public." The WT1205 is currently shipping to stores. Although the entire first run of production is already sold out, a second run is scheduled for late October. Eden Electronics is owned by US Music Corp., located just north of Chicago.
