EDEN FORUM PASSES THIRTY THOUSAND POSTS

Chicago, Illinois, December 21, 2005 – Eden Electronics, the leader in bass amplification, proudly announced that its on-line forum passed the thirty thousand post milestone early this morning. The company had originally set a goal of twenty-five thousand posts by the end of 2005, but adjusted that figure mid-year because of greater-than-expected interest.

“I can’t tell you how pleased we are about this,” said Eden founder and head of Research and Development David Nordschow. “The participation has been outstanding, well above our expectations, both in terms of quantity and quality.”

When it was first created, Eden’s goals for the forum were simple: to offer an informal way for the company to interact with its customers, gather user feedback about current products, gain insight into what customers wanted in future products, create a tight-knit community of Eden users, and to offer real-time support to its customers.

“The success of our forum is directly related to those who participate on a daily basis,” Nordschow said, “and on behalf of the entire Eden family, I offer my sincere congratulations and thanks. Forum members have helped us create one of the most useful – and most respectful – online communities available. This is especially noteworthy when compared to the fact that some manufacturers have recently shut down their forums, due, in part, to inactivity or hostility among participants.”

Eden’s forum has gathered more than 1300 active members, as well as numerous non-registered readers, ranging from first-time buyers to life-long enthusiasts. Active participants includes several Eden Endorsing Artists, as well as many knowledgeable bassists from around the world.

Eden’s Special Projects Coordinator, Lane Baldwin, spends as many as twenty hours a week moderating the forum, researching answers to technical questions and responding to email from forum participants. “It’s one of my favorite aspects of my job,” Baldwin said. “I have a lot of fun getting to know other Edenites and the information we’ve gained has been extremely useful. The ability to interact in real-time with so many users has been critical to many of the advances we’ve made this year.”

Nordschow echoes this feeling. “We listen closely to what our users tell us on the forum,” he said. “And we’ve responded by offering products they’ve requested, such as new, 4 Ohm versions of several of our existing speaker cabinets. We’re currently working on several amplifier design ideas, some of which have come directly from forum members.”
