Genesis' Mike Rutherford and Daryl Stuermer Endorse Eden Chicago, IL, October 2007 – Eden Electronics recently welcomed the addition of Genesis' guitarists/bassists Mike Rutherford and Daryl Stuermer to their list of endorsees. Rutherford is one of the founding members of the band, which originally formed in 1967, and Stuermer joined the band in 1977. To date, Genesis has sold over 150 million records and is one of the top 30 highest-selling artists of all time.
Both Rutherford and Stuermer are currently touring the U.S. with Genesis on its sold-out “Turn It On Again: The Tour” reunion. Throughout the tour, they will be using a stack of Eden WT1205 bass amplifiers and D410XLT bass cabinets. At their recent stop in Chicago, Artist Relations Manager David Karon of Eden was able to catch up with Rutherford and Stuermer, along with their technician David Rule. “Everyone loves the rig,” Karon said, “especially David, who has the responsibility of keeping everything up and running. They’re all digging the sound and the easy set-up. David also loves the fact that everything has performed flawlessly.” The band’s reunion tour is comprised of over 50 shows in 2007 and includes stops in several countries such as Denmark, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Great Britain, the United States and Canada. In addition, the band is in the process of re-releasing their back catalog in a series of three boxset-style batches throughout the year 2007.
