Chicago, Illinois, May 4, 2005 – Eden Electronics, the leader in bass amplification, is now shipping the long-awaited upgrade to its World Tour 800 integrated bass amplifier. The new WT800B version includes a more powerful amplifier section and significantly improved cooling system.

The WT800B features a 6-device amplifier design and a new PCB (printed circuit board). Power specifications have been increased to 300 Watts per channel at 8Ω (Ohms) and 495 Watts per channel at 4Ω. In bridged mode, the new model delivers 880 Watts at 8Ω and a massive 1100 Watts at 4Ω.

In addition to the power increase, the WT800B features several improvements to the cooling system. These improvements have resulted in a significant increase in cooling efficiency.

Eden ’s founder and head of Research & Development, David Nordschow, notes of the improvements, “While we’ve made many improvements to the design of the WT800 over its lifetime, this is the first major modification to its power section. The new B version ensures this amplifier will continue to be our best-selling integrated amplifier, and will maintain its status as the touring standard for professional bassists around the world.”
